Kids shouldn’t be the only ones to experience camp.  Did you know that there is a camp for moms too?  Moms who have physically disabled children and youths living at home in their care, annually go to camp to unwind for a weekend at Easter Seals Camp Woodeden in London. While an annual favorite for some, this year more than half were first timers for a total of 60 moms.

Blinged Out Bags

While we are accustomed to providing our gift bags as part of our sponsorship we were thrilled to see how they were transformed.  Every mom got their own unique bag stuffed full of donated items; the bags were decorated by special needs students from York Humber High School.

Ladies Take Tea

Friday’s welcome activities include a tea party lead by HSH Marketing Director Pamela Foster, a tea aficionado in her own right. This activity, complete with tea hats and fascinators, helped everyone get acquainted with old and new friends.

We Understand the Need

Howie, Sacks & Henry works closely with many special needs moms so we know how much a weekend like this helps the caretaker take care for themselves.
