Being a personal injury lawyer allows me to advocate and provide support for victims of personal injury and their families, so that they can focus on their number one goal; their recovery. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than helping clients regain their quality of life back.

As an associate at HSH, Valerie provides assistance and support to senior lawyers on personal injury cases involving medical malpractice, long-term disability, slip and falls, and motor vehicle accidents. She provides clients with legal advocacy on accident benefits and tort claims, conducts hearings of personal injury cases at the License and Appeal Tribunal and the Ontario Small Claims Court, and pleads motions before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. A bilingual (English and French) graduate of the University of Ottawa’s law school, Valerie served as assistant editor of the Ottawa Law Review, interned with the Ministry of the Attorney General and was an active member and past vice-president of AWARE, which supports and advocates for women’s shelters in the Ottawa area.
